Hydro-Copying lathe LY-24
Parmar brand copying lather model LY-24 is a high production, high speed machine for steel, cast iron and non ferrous components. The turning may be carried out in three ways.

• Ordinary turning similar as on production lathe.
• Turning and boring with longitudinal cross stop dogs.
• Turning with hydraulic copying device.

Base and Bed:
The box shaped base contains all driving and control mechanism including the electrical equipment. The casting is graded casting seasoned and artificially stress relieved.
Bed is a slant type rigid design and shape to facilitate the easy discharge of chips. Bed casting is graded having 25 grades (IS-210), hardened and ground for min wear and tear during the life span. Turcice coating optional

Head Stock:
It is mounted on slant bed and driven by four steps gear box through two speed induction motor. starting and stopping of machine is being accomplished by means of clutch brake being controlled by a single lever mounted on head stock. Spindle is manufactured from alloy steel, hardened and ground and supported on anti friction bearings.

Saddle/Slide:
The box type saddle is a graded casting seasoned machined and precisely scraped with the bed. It is located on the front bed guides and consists of cross slide with hydraulic copying device and tool holder carriage. longitudinal traverse is obtained by hydraulic system located in base. The feed rate is controlled by two levers with stepless regulations. Operating movements of saddle is restricted by stop dogs mounted on the stop shaft with rotating drum.

Hydro copying device:
Located on the saddle at 60 degree to the spindle axis enables 0 to 90 degree with increasing diameters and from 0 to 30 degree copying parallel layers profile shaped layer is achieved when the sensor touches the template through out the operation which is mounted between two supports by means of two movable tailstocks on rail and fixed to the bed. The oil is fed to copying device by positive displacement gear pump.
