GEAR BOX: Mender drive type gear box is a splash lubricated unit having all the gears hardened and lapped for noiseless operation. All the shafts are supported on antifriction bearings all the gear and splined shafts all manufactured from alloy steel for long span life time operation. It offers eight range of spindle speed from 355 RPM to 4000 RPM.
HYDRAULIC POWER PACK Hydraulic system is mounted on a plate which is fixed in front of machine base. It houses two pumps.
1. Fixed displacement pump. 2. Variable displacement pump.
Both the pumps are driven by a single electric motor for hydraulic functions. Sleeplessly variable feed drives achieved by single lever which is controlled by variable displacement pump and valve block unit.
HYDRAULIC TAIL STOCK Its a hydro-mechanical unit to facilitate fixing of work pieces between centers- Thus reducing the loading time. A heavy duty revolving center is accommodated in sleeve. Also flow and pressure control is achieved on finger tip even in operational mode. Manifold design is such that during power failure it will not allow automatic return of tail stock sleeve due to break of hydraulic oil supply.
HEAD STOCK Head stock is mounted on slant bed and driven by four stop gear box through two speed induction motor. Starting and stopping of machine is being accomplished by means of clutch break being controlled by a single lever mounted on head stock.
Spindle is manufactured from alloy steel, hardened and ground and supported on antifriction bearings.
HYDRAULIC COPYING DEVICE Located on the saddle at 60 (degree) to the spindle axis enables 0 to 90 (degree) with increasing diameter and from 0 to 30 (degree) copying parallel layers/ profile shaped layer is achieved when the sensor touches the template through out the operation which is mounted between two supports by means of two movable tailstocks on rail and fixed on bed. The oil is fed to copying device by positive displacement gear pump.
SADDLE AND TOP SLIDE. The box type saddle is a graded casting, seasoned, machined and precisely scraped with the bed. It is located on the front bed guides and consists of cross slide with hydraulic copying device and tool holder carriage.
Longitudinal traverse is obtained by hydraulic system located in base. The feed rate is controlled by two levers with stepless regulations. Operating movements of saddle is restricted by stop dogs mounted on the stop shaft with rotating drum.
